Taupo

Phew, we made it on time! Rotorua and its surrounds just did not want to let us go, but we made it to our sailing tour with a few minutes to spare. For today's tour we chose Sail Fearless and were not disappointed!

The day was beautiful and bright but the lake was 'a little' on the choppy side, which made for quite a fun and wet ride!

Our stop in Taupo was quite short, as our accomodation was in the Tongariro Village a couple hours drive away in preparation for our hike tomorrow. We detoured on our way out of town for a quick visit to Huka Falls, which pump a massive more than 220,000 litres of water per second over 11meter high waterfall, but honestly there is so much water it looks almost like a horizontal waterfall.
